CRUSHED MARIGOLDS

Home Updates Writing Book Reviews Diary Gallery Guestbook

Updates - #4 (2nd June)

Hello again! Wow, I'm really on this website creation kick, aren't I?

So, I've added two new sections of the site. The first is a diary section, where I intend on writing blog posts and updates about the minutiae of my life (just on the off chance that anybody cares to read; that, and I like to write about my feelings. It's the sort of thing I find helpful).

The other section of the site that I added is the gallery. Because my CSS skills are pretty barebones right now, Crushed Marigolds does look kind of bland and boring. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to making web sites and things like that, so whilst I'm working out how to, like, add a gradient background or something, I thought this place could do with a pop of colour.

So, the gallery was born.

I'm no photographer, but I do sometimes see cool stuff when I'm out and about. When I do, I'll upload the pictures here. I just think it would be kind of neat!

The other thing I've worked out how to add is a scrollbar. (Which is part of the reason why the text here is as lengthy as it is...)

Anyway, that's all the updates for now. Thanks for visiting!

Updates - #3 (1st June, 3:15pm)

Two updates in one day! You can tell that this is a new project. I'm still buzzing with novel enthusiasm.

I have uploaded my first short story, Clean Girls. You can navigate to it from the writing page, or just click the link here to read it: Clean Girls.

Updates - #2 (1st June)

So, I have changed the colour scheme to a pretty light-blue and lilac, with dark purple accents. Thanks to ColorHunt for helping me find the right one! I have also added the navigation menu up top, which looks much better than the weird list I had before.

I also decided against changing the font for now. Garamond is fine.

Additionally, I have added pages for all the links in my topnav menu. Some of them don't have very much there yet. Please be assured that I'll be adding more soon! Thanks for your patience!

Updates - #1 (30th May)

I finally finished a university project (I'm studying computer science), so now - with my time marginally less monopolised - I intend on adding some more to Crushed Marigolds. I'm going to change the colour scheme, as well as carve out different spaces on this web page.

Also, I'm not sure about the font. I like Garamond (yes, I am somebody who has particular fonts they like the most), but I'm not sure how well it works for this place.
